When our friends Sam & Ian told us they were getting married, we couldn’t have been happier for them and their two boys Oliver and Owen. Set for 21st October, it also happened to be my husband’s birthday and as he was also their best man, it was certainly going to be a day to remember!
Sam got ready at home with her best friend and maid of honour Elle and while Sam’s Mum and Dad hung out with the boys, it was certainly a house full of energy and laughter that morning, complete with drum playing from Owen, Sam and Ian’s 4 year old son! Sam had her hair and make up done by Tara, and her and Elle and the most amazing Irregular Choice shoes and some beautiful hand made hair accessories from Sofia Bridal & Special Occasions. Sam’s dress was simple but beautiful with a gorgeous cut out back and high neckline. Ian’s Dad Brian had (as a surprise) ordered a Bentley to take Sam and her Dad to the church which didn’t disappoint, a real wedding classic!
Ian and Sam said “I do” at Newbold Church and then had a relaxed and informal reception at Dunchurch Village Hall. Storm Brian did it’s best to spoil the photos and whilst we didn’t get to do much outside we managed a few portraits and group shots in between blustery showers. There was a BBQ wedding breakfast which was delicious and guests even manged a quick rendition of Happy Birthday for the best man after his speech. A great disco was provided by Don Cullieone and all guest (young and old!) had a fab time on the dance floor. It was a lovely day to be part of and to capture, and my hubbie and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of Sam and Ian’s special day. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.
